Qutub Minar complex is one among the 3 UNESCO world heritage sites located in Delhi. The other 2 being Red Fort and Humayun’s Tomb. This complex consist of a number of monuments:
- Qutub Minar, 72 m high 5 storey tower
- Quwwat-ul-Islam mosque which was built with the architectural members taken from 27 Hindu and Jain temples after demolishing them.
- Alai Darwaza, the southern gateway to the mosque.
- Ala al Din Khalji Madrasab, center for religious teaching.
- An iron pillar that never gets rusted. It has inscriptions in Sanskrit.
- Tomb of Iltutmish
- Half built Alai Minar, which has twice the diameter of Qutub Minar.
