This memorial is dedicated to the Martyrs of 1971 war. It is located on a traffic island just opposite Agartala post office and police station. A freshly painted tank and artillery that was part of the war was also present.

The following words were inscribed on the basement of the memorial pillar
To the hallowed memories of all those Martyrs, we bow in salutation.
They died so that we could live. They humbled themselves so that we could save our pride as a nation.
If life had played cruelly with them, they became immortalized in death
