Leh Palace, Ladakh

If you are planning to visit Ladakh, then the first piece of advice you will get is to take proper rest of at least couple of days after reaching Leh town (3,524m above sea level) before you venture into even higher altitudes.  Acclimatization is the key element here. During this time you may visit the attractions in the town: Leh Palace, Shanti Stupa, Indian Army’s Hall of Fame and Buddhist monasteries.

Leh palace made of stone, wood, mud bricks and motor is almost camouflaged in the brown landscape of Ladakh. Lack of luxuriance makes this palace special.
